I went to my first Yoga class when I was a teenager and over the years I’ve tried various styles as I’ve travelled and worked abroad. Yoga has been my constant companion through all of the rewards and challenges that life brings. I’m also a TV Reporter and Producer, and Yoga helps me to find balance and harmony in a busy world. Teaching Yoga is deeply rewarding and I love to see the impact it has on my students. I trained with the British Wheel of Yoga, then studied Pregnancy Yoga with the BWY and went on to do my Yin teacher training with the IYT.
Hatha Yoga Yoga is a full mind and body workout. It improves flexibility whilst building strength. Pranayama breathing exercises and meditation combat stress and anxiety and create a wonderful sense of well being. Hatha yoga can also improve back conditions, balance hormones and help to reduce high blood pressure.
Pregnancy Yoga is a wonderful to exercise and prepare for labour, the breath work we practice is invaluable during labour and the yoga postures we use help to alleviate back ache and tired limbs.
Mother and Baby Yoga is a great way to exercise with your baby. We rebuild core strength and condition and tone with yoga postures, we also practice relaxation techniques for you and your baby.
Yin Yoga is mat based postures which are held for longer than in a general class. Yin works on the deep tissues and in doing so provides a calming yet energizing experience, combined with pranayama and a long relaxation it provides a wonderful balance to busy lives.
Workshops are an excellent way to deepen your experience of Yoga.
I run full day and half day workshops through the year at a variety of venues.
The workshops are suitable for all levels. They include at least two hours of posture work.
It’s followed by breathing practice, or pranayama as it’s known, meditation and a deep relaxation.
